Remember the 'What Would Jesus Do' trend? Where todo el mundo went around with those goofy little bracelets on their wrists to remind themselves what the Holy Savior would do if he had the mala fortuna to find himself in their shoes?

So ... when's the last time you seen one of those little WWJD pulseras? If you went outside and asked random people the meaning of WWJD, what do you think they'd say?

They might look at you like you were high. Ha, they probablemente do anyway. Or they might start going on about a bunch of overweight dudes with big, hairless chests in tights and masks. Either way, you know nadie under the edad of 21 would have a chingado clue about la boga de WWJD. And this is very sad, because I think the WWJD trend was OK, as far as trends go.

You disagree conmigo? Remember la macarena!

I still think about WWJD de vez en cuando, although tengo que admitir es dif�cil to imagine whether Jesus would order a chocolate shake or a Diet Coke while patronizing Burger King. Perhaps that is why the trend went the way of the T-Rex (the band or the dinosaur, your pick). Jesus is just too transmundane to eat at Burger King or get a body piercing at the strip mall.

Now, Shakira is a different historia altogether. I find it quite soothing and entretenido a veces to imagine what Shakira would do en mi lugar. Por ejemplo. Would Shakira give that asshole on the bus the finger for talking smack about her, or would she have Antonio de la R�a's papa call in a hit on him? What estrategia would she employ for seducing Pedro at work? Would she order that second steak quesadilla at Taco Bell or pay somebody else to eat it for her?

Now that, hijos, is what I call entretenido.
